Aaron "Butch" Clark

Aaron Brite Clark Jr. was born March 9, 1945 in Bay St. Louis, MS. to Aaron Brite Clark Sr. and Audrey May Favre Clark. The family moved to Oklahoma in 1949 where he attended Putnam City Schools. He spent many years as a route salesman for several food distributorships including Pemberton Brokerage, Chili Bowl, Oklahoma Pride, Canadian Valley, and Orbit foods. He went to work at the Federal building in OKC in 2004, working as a supervisor for Highland Express, MEPS program until his recent illness in 2021. He is preceded in death by his mother Audrey, Father Aaron and Stepmother Alwanda Clark, and step-brother Buddy Stewart. He leaves behind his sister Amanda Kerr of Warr Acres, OK, and step-sister Wanda Goodwin, daughters Cindy McMahon and husband Jim of Norman; OK. Melody Spruill, Bethany, OK; Leeanna Norris, Oklahoma City; and son Kevin Touhey and wife Robin of San Antonio, TX; 11 grandchildren and 22 great grand children as well as his nephew Scott Kerr and niece Kathy Cortes. We would like to thank the staff at Integris hospital and Select Specialty hospital for their care over the past 5 months. We especially want to thank his Nephrologist, Anupa Khastgir, for caring for him over the years and for always taking time to explain things to our family and answer our questions. Aaron thought the world of you and you earned our family’s utmost respect and gratitude. He loved his family with intense passion; a teddy bear at heart, but a grizzly when defending them. He put his loved ones ahead of himself and would drop everything to meet their needs. He will always be lovingly referred to as Dad, Bubby, Uncle Butch, and Gramps. He will be greatly missed. A visitation for Butch will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, 6201 Northwest 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
