Perry was born on June 2, 1961 in Albany, Georgia to George Riley and Lois Marie Johnson.
He graduated from Joseph Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia in 1979 and soon married the love of his life, Martha, in 1984, after knowing each other since they were 8 years old. He built a 35-year long career in the computer industry and was a Senior Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard for the last 19 years. The couple welcomed four children who were his greatest pride and joy. He instilled his sense of humor, adventure, and enthusiasm in each of his children. Perry enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing, fixing and building, cooking, learning, and spending time with his family. His family will remember him as a funny, intelligent, supportive man who always encouraged and protected them.
Perry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Martha; children, Samantha, Zachary, Mackenzie, Katie and her husband, Matthew; his mother, Lois Johnson; sister, Rebecca Gore and her husband, Jerry; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, George Riley Johnson.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Perry touched are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1st at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2nd at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
