Candice Marie James, 50, passed away on February 27, 2024 in Little Rock. She was born on February 20, 1974 in Bellflower, California to Charles Steven Whited and Debra (Eubanks) Whited. Candice’s life was one of joy, love, kindness, and a precious friend to so many. Beginning with her education at Bentonville High School, and continuing at the University of Arkansas and University of Central Florida, she was a proud member of the University of Arkansas Marching Band and Tau Beta Sigma sorority. She was passionate and dedicated to her career, and enjoyed many cherished friendships in her work family. Her interests also included her commitment to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas, as well her unique passion and creativity in Arts and Crafting. She was so skilled in making crafts and loved creating and providing things for others.
She is survived by her husband, Josiah James of Anderson, Missouri; mother, Debra Whited of Anderson, Missouri; brother, Craig Whited and his wife, Donna of Centerton; grandmother, Joyce Thompson of California; step-mother, Jan Whited of Florida; step-sisters, Cora Walders, Emily O’Brien, and Natalie Pratt; nephew, Cooper Whited; niece, Hayden Alexander (Cameron) and their son, Graham.
In her remembrance and honor, please direct donations in her name to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas.
A private memorial for the family will be held at a later date.
