Raymond Duane Taylor, age 79, of Raymore, MO passed away December 25,2023. He was born in Portland, Oregon to Chester and Alta Mae Taylor. After graduating from Belton High School in 1962 Duane went into the United States Air Force where he worked on helicopters and airplanes. After leaving the Air Force he worked as a mechanic and shop foreman. Duane married Peggy Ann Jacoby on October 17, 1964. He enjoyed horses, working with youth, tinkering on his hot rod and watching NASCAR. Duane was a loving, supportive, caring husband, Dad and friend. He was very ornery and loved to tease and make people laugh; you never knew what he would say keeping you on your toes..
Duane is preceded in death by his parents and wife Peggy Taylor. He is survived by son Andrew Taylor, daughter Stephanie Marshall; grandchildren Cassie Boca, Chase Taylor, Taylor Marshall, Ty Marshall, Ross Caponetto, Ryan Caponetto, Sawyer Warren and Ashton Warren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Raymond will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at McGilley & George Funeral Home a, 611 Chestnut, Belton, Missouri. Immediately following the visitation will be a funeral at 5:30 PM at McGilley & George Funeral Home an, 611 Chestnut, Belton, Missouri. Inurnment in the Belton Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are Andy Taylor, Jon Marshall, Chase Taylor, Sawyer Warren, Taylor Marshall and Ty Marshall.
