Michael Everett Brooks, age 54, of Raymore, Missouri passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Michael was born in Dubuque, Iowa March 30, 1967 and moved with parents to Arizona at age 6, to California at age 9, and has lived in Missouri the past ten years.
He loved swimming ever since he fell in a swimming pool at age 3. His mom had a career change and they moved to Los Angeles. Michael worked various jobs and after several years, he wanted to go back to the coast in Encinitas. Shortly after moving, he was hit by a drunk driver. The crash was devastating - Michael was in a coma for days with a brain stem injury, months in the hospital, years in speech and PT therapies until recovered.
He attended National University in San Diego graduating with honors in 1999. He married Lisa Brady and moved from Pacific Beach area to La Jolla where Lisa worked at a hair salon. Michael earned his real estate license and they lived in Solana Beach. They had a son, Markus, and moved to San Marcos for his special therapy.
