Kenneth William Tye, 70, husband of Deborah Tye passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 at KC Hospice House. He was born November 9, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to William and Eugenia Tye. He attended Belton Public school where he played football. He was a letter carrier for the Belton Post Office for over 30 years. After retirement he worked as a night security guard for the Belton School System.
He is survived by wife Deborah, sons Ryan Tye wife Leslie; Curtis Mayes wife Jessica; Thomas Mayes wife Samantha all of Belton MO and daughter Dahris Mayes and partner Ashley McQuillen of Independence MO. 10 grandchildren- Henry and Olivia Tye, Preston, Mariah, Hailey, Matthew, Carter, Vivienne Mayes Belton MO and Ava and Aiden of Independence MO. Brother Paul and wife Linda and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, father, 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Visitation and service will be held at McGilley and George Funeral Home 611 Chestnut, Belton MO. Visitation 3-4 pm - services 4-5 pm Thursday, April 14; inurnment at a later date. Donations requested to American Lung Cancer Association.
