John (Jack) Walker Jr. of Belton, MO, passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 86. He was born on January 17, 1939 in Kansas City, MO to John William Walker and Louis (Bistou) Walker. Jack attended North High School in Kansas City, MO and served in the U.S. Army in Fort Knox, KY. He was a member of KC Kustoms.
Jack was well known in the world of custom cars and is a multiple Hall of Famer for his custom cars. One of his well-known cars was the Hirohito Mercury Clone. Jack organized and was seen at countless custom car shows throughout the United States. He was called by many “The Grandpa of Custom Cars.”
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Connie Walker; his son Floyd Songer (Anne); granddaughters Samatha Elder (Matt), Rebekha Songer, Ashlie Songer, Gabrielle Kim, Hatley Herrick (Clint); and great grandson Declan Elder.
Services will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Cornerstone Chapel, 277 W. 1st St., Peculiar, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM, and the funeral service will begin 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at 12:30 PM in Belton Cemetery, 710 S. Scott Ave., Belton, MO.
