Harold Richard Flanagan, 84, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2023 at home with his beloved wife, Wendy by his side. He resided in Belton, Missouri for over 40 years. Harold was born on March 21, 1939 to Harold and Helen Magee. He was adopted at the age of 8 by his most beloved parents Earl and Anna Flanagan. He graduated from Raytown High School in 1957 and resided in the Kansas City, Missouri area. He worked at Owen’s Corning for 15 years and was an engineer for most of his adult career.
Harold’s favourite things in his life were hunting, fishing, Haams beer, and most importantly, spending time with his wife and best friend Wendy Sue. One thing we know he would be doing in his peaceful place right now is fishing, with a Hamms beer in his hand while catching a bigger fish than Wendy (she always caught the biggest fish).
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister Carol Redford. He is survived by his most beloved wife, Wendy Sue of 35 years; his two brothers Gary Whitlock of Honey Grove, Texas and David Plagens of Louisburg, Kansas; his daughter Alice Spiller; his two sons Matthew Flanagan and Jon Robert Nicholls; his four grandchildren Aaron, Tahnee, Mika, and Logan.
