Hans emigrated to the U.S. December 16, 1955 after finishing High School in 1959 from Belmont High School in Los Angeles, California. Hans joined the U.S. Navy despite having won a scholarship from UCLA, where he planned to become a scientist/chemist. Hans had a curious mind. After boot camp, he became an Electrician onboard the USS Baya, a diesel submarine. In 1964, he transferred to further training in Illinois. Making a stop in Kansas City, Missouri to visit a friend, he met Linda Robinson. Her brother Newt was Han's friend. After 6 days of dating, he and Linda were married March 24, 1964 at her long time church - Independence Avenue Church, now called The Avenue. Han's career included Vendo Company and Honeywell, where he retired. Hans and Linda lived his final years in Belton, Missouri where he had many friends.
Survived by his wife Linda, son Hans Michael, daughter, Sandra Lynne, three grandchildren and two greats.
