Cindi was born on December 24, 1955 to Marvin and Julie Harness in Kansas City, MO. She was the first graduating class of Hickman Mills highschool in 1974. During Cindi’s senior year, she became a member of the Chiefettes for the Kansas City Chiefs. She was a loyal lifelong fan of her beloved Chiefs.
On February 19, 1976 Cindi married Jack E Nelson Jr. Together they raised five children. They were the loves of her life. Cindi always had a smile on her face and a hug for everyone. She retired from Quicktrip after she was diagnosed with ALS. In her spare time she loved crafting and spent endless hours coloring. She always took time to color the exact right picture for everyone she loved.
Cindi was preceded in death by her Father Marvin Harness, Mother in law Peggy Jones, Father in law Kent Jones, Father in law Jack E Nelson Sr. She is survived by her husband Jack of the Home, her loving children Jack E. (Rett) Nelson III (Shauna) Belton, MO, Julia Bentley (Doug) Harrisonville, MO, Paul Nelson (Nina) Oklahoma, Mark Nelson, Overland Park, KS, Megan Nelson, Belton, MO, her 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her mother Julie Harness Laninne, Kevin Harness, Jeff Harness, Marvin Harness, Beth Cornell (Mike), Amy Semler (Brian), and many nieces and nephews.
