Curtis Bryan Davidson was born on January 22, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Curt was a beloved husband, a dedicated father, and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather whose presence brought joy to his family. After his career as a mechanic and lineman he and his wife Wanda, of 47 years moved to Missouri. Here Curt continued to work with his hands, spoil every pet he never wanted, and teach Acey-deucey Backgammon to everyone he met. When he wasn’t mowing his 9-acre yard, he also developed new passions for beekeeping, raising succulents, and feeding “his” deer.
Curt had many other hobbies and passions throughout his life. He earned a degree from Salt Lake Community College, learned to fly an airplane, was an advanced open water diver, could turn a 2x4 into a toothpick on his wood lathe, and even became a Master Hypnotherapist. While he was stubborn and grumpy, you could always count on him to lend a hand or make a joke when you needed help or a smile. He was a collector of many things, mostly because he refused to throw anything away. His most prized collection was the large number of people that admired and respected him.
On August 3, 2024 Curt unexpectedly passed away at Research Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Wanda Davidson; daughter Yvette “Dandy” Biddle; son Keno (Katrina) Davidson; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister; and four brothers. Curt was preceded in death by his daughter Jessie “Dilly” Kolb and his brother Michael Davidson. Curt was a member of the LDS Church and touched many lives with his presence. Although there will be no funeral, the family is planning a celebration of life at his home in Belton this fall.
