Carol J. Heironimus, age 74, of Belton, MO passed away November 1, 2023 at Carnegie Village Nursing Home after a battle with cancer. She was born October 27, 1949 in Hutchinson, KS to Floyd and Maxine Baggett Shimel. Carol graduated from Nickerson High School and then attended Adelaide Business College. She took a job as an administrative assistant for International Homes National Credit Adjusters and was employed there for 47 years.
Carol was a member of First Church of God most of her life and currently at the Woods Chapel Church. She loved her church, family and friends. Her faith was what carried her through her illness. Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards with friends and loving life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David Shimel and two grandsons. Carol is survived by Tracy (Mike) Mims, Lee’s Summit MO and Rob (Missy) Heironimus, Hutchinson KS; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
