Ren was born on July 10, 1943 to Harold and Grace Bowman in Seattle, Washington. He spent his early years with his grandmother Ruth in Washington. He later moved to Lakewood, California with his mother where he graduated from Lakewood High School in 1961.
After graduation he joined the Navy Air at Los Alamitos Naval Air Station. He spent couple a year aboard the USS Yorktown.
After the Navy, he went to the unemployment office where Douglas Aircraft happened to be recruiting. They hired him instantly. He worked at what is now called Boeing Aircraft for over 40 years.
Ren bought a house in Lakewood, California. He noticed a “sexy mama” who took daily walks in his neighborhood. Her name was Isabel Celina Garcia. They struck up a conversation and quickly fell in love. They married three months later, on April 21, 1973. They had two children, Rochelle in 1973 and Greg in 1976.
Ren loves camping and working on classic cars with his son Greg. Anyone who knows Ren knows he loves to tease. No one was immune from his sharp whit.
Ren was predeceased by his mother Grace Wickertsheimer, father Harold Bowman and his wife, Isabel Bowman. He is survived by his children Rochelle Renee Liley and Greg Ren Bowman, and his sisters, Crystal June Taylor and Barbara Ann Raymond.
The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to their home.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.whitesmortuary.com for the Bowman family.
