Sadly, we announce the passing of Mrs. Lucille May (Poulson) Grohowski, wife of Joseph A. Grohowski, of Norwalk, California. Lucille was days away from her 94th birthday on 29th of February, (born in 1924). Lucille was preceded in passing by her husband, Joe and her daughter, Sandra Jean (Grohowski) Freeh. Pa and Ma was a fun couple, with many, many friends doing lots of fun activites like: cards, dancing, bowling, dinners, bar-b-ques, fishing, camping and traveling. Ma was a young and fun wife. She was a mother, and a grandmother and a great-grandmother. She become a dedicated mother figure again for her daughter's children upon the daughter's passing. So again she stepped up to the bar with teaching instructions for a good and wholesome life. Her son-in-law, Rodney E. Freeh and Kay have five children, Kimberly Anne (Freeh) Kolodziej... and daughter Jillene Marie (Freeh) Hoven, husband Chris Hoven have two sons, Skyler and Xander. Grandma was a grandson, Daniel Christian Freeh and grandsons Todd Hansel... and Eric Hansel with wife Sherri (Bakker) Hansel, with a great-grandson Tyler and two great-granddaughters Tara and Trinity. Joe and Luciile's son, Donlad J. Grohowski, and his wife Hazel, (Frisbee) and their two children, Jennifer and April live in the Riverside, CA area. Jennifer (Grohowski) Kammerer and husband Mike have a son, Mason. April (Grohowski) Tussant and husband, Chris have two daughters, Kyle and Reese. Grandma continued to be a big presence in all our family activities up to the very end. She had lost the majority of her eye sight and hearing in the last years. The family became her eyes, her ears, but she still had her sense of smell and taste and attitude. I remember she lost her last tooth a few years ago and she cried because it was her last real tooth and it had been with her all her life. She was already looking forward to her 94th birthday party, "with balloons" in just a week away. She was watching one of her favorite TV shows, "The Price is Right" with her TV-ears on her head, when Jesus decided it was now her time. We loved her, we had fun with her, and we watched her as she pass on to her home in heaven. We held her hand, and kissed her on her forehead. We already miss her and will think of her forever. Rest in peace grandma and look down on all of us often. I can hear her laughing and saying, "You all did a good job and I wish" Danny would get home...Amen.
