Jessie Iona Cantrell

Jessie Iona Cantrell March 5, 1926 - September 19, 2014. Jessie was born in Seymour, Missouri, the 2nd oldest of five children. After graduating High School she eloped to California at the age of 17 with her childhood sweetheart, Oliver Cantrell. Together they moved to a home in 1953 where she resided as a loving housewife and mother until her passing. She is survived by her sister, Neta Postle, her two children, Judith Doty and Ron Cantrell, five grandchildren, Maria Doty, Mark Doty, Steven Cantrell, Michael Cantrell, and Joe Martinez, five great-grandchildren, Kayley O'Connor, Galina Doty, Lucas Cantrell, Brandon Doty, and Courtney Cantrell, and great great-grandchild, Allix Allen. She is preceded by her loving husband, Oliver Cantrell and daughter, Carolyn Martinez. Jessie spent her free time bowling, cooking delicious meals, watching laker games and movies, and spending time with her family. Jessie always put the well being of others before herself. Her family and everyone who met her loved her and she returned that love even greater. She will be greatly missed and remembered. Memorial services will be held at White's Funeral Home, Bellflower, CA at 10:30 am on September 27, 2014.
