Herbert W. McDaniel was born on November 10, 1922 and passed away on February 17, 2023, in Long Beach, California at the age of 100.
Herbert was born in City Island, New York. When he was 19 years old he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard and served during WWII. He met his wife Barbara at a USO dance and later married his wife of 69 years.
He is survived by daughter Dee Ann Hall (Debra); son, Roy McDaniel; granddaughters Alisha Tuinei Samuels and Asia Watson (Borris); his great grandchildren Lavasier Taulaai Tuinei, Duane James Anderson Jr., Destiny Murray (Kyle), and Jada Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara May McDaniel, son Scott and great granddaughter LaBree Lemina Tuinei.
He will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery
