30 January, 1925 to 31 July, 2014
Betty was born in her grandmother Gismondi’s house in North Denver, Colorado. She was schooled for a few early years in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parochial School, then on to North High until she graduated. She worked until she married and started a family. She attended Long Beach City College for two years, and started a part time vocation in sales.
She and her husband Warren were married for over sixty-three years, during which time they raised five sons and four daughters: Peter, Lynne, Michael, Noel`, Carol, Douglas, Jeffrey, Christopher, and Mary. They in turn issued twenty-one grand-children, who had twenty-five great-grand-children, who had one great-great-grand-child. Needless to say, her major love was her family. Her exemplary motherhood was shown throughout her life, as the people who knew her would testify.
Her passion in living included all our world has to offer a tourist. At home it was local travel and beach bathing. She liked to relax working crossword puzzles and reading crime mysteries. For exercise, she loved dancing and gardening.
