Vivian was born to Swedish immigrants Martin and Margaret Hoglin in Lancaster Minnesota. She was the youngest of 12 children. Vivian completed high school and had jobs bookkeeping in Minnesota before meeting her husband Johmie Zornes. They lived in Kansas before moving to the Northwest in 1956. Vivian has been a resident of Kirkland since 1960.
Vivian worked at the U of W Department of Anesthesiology as an accountant until she retired. She was a vibrant and active person in her life. She canoed, hiked, skied, and square danced. She was also an active member of the church helping out and participating in lots of activities such as quilting, Vintage Spirits, coffee group, Rip and Roll.
She belonged to Holy Spirit Lutheran Church and had taught Sunday school at Highland Covenant Church.
She is survived by her son, Paul Michael Zornes, son and daughter-in-law Jeff & Wendy Zornes, grandchildren Kyle, Ariel, Austin, numerous nieces and nephews throughout the country as well as numerous friends and co-workers in the area. She will be greatly missed by all of the people that knew her. She was a kind and generous soul with a positive outlook on life, family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland on Saturday August 7th at 1:30PM.
Viewing will be at Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Bellevue on Sunday August 1st 1-5
