I have learned C++ by using his Primer book. Been programming for over 20 years, and mutliple times I tried to learn C++ but each time, I did stop. I had to wait for Stan's amazing book to, for the first time, learn the langage with a book I have been able to read from the first, to last page. I love this book so much that instead of going back to my wall of books, his book is always on the table where I spend time programming. It has it's permanent spot near me while I work, as Stan has a permanent spot in my heart and mind, for opening my mind and knowledge to new heights. Thank you Stan.

My friend Stanley Lippman on his 71st birthday - content, happy, and always a calming presence. He influenced me in many ways, but above all was a role model of how one should be in this world: mindful, kind, gentle, and non-judgmental. I will always do my best to carry on these characteristics, because of the impact he had on me. 

We will miss Stanley very much. He was a great asset to our community and loved by many neighbors and staff members.  An excellent father- we know because of our interactions with Dan over the past few years. While he will certainly be missed here, we take comfort knowing his legacy lives on.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family at this time.

i will always remember stan coming to my house with a shoebox in his hand, he opened it and it was his pet rat!!! he was a quirky guy, intense and wonderful to talk to.. he was a good friend for a long time.

Stanley was the success of the family.  He was the pride of the
family.  He made a contribution.  He reached his potential.
He raised a fine family.   He was someone to look up to.
He was a father, son, brother, friend.  Gone to soon
