Chau Vinh Son was born on May 18, 1938 in Vietnam. He got married in 1959 to Phung Ngoc Anh and had 5 children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. In Vietnam, they ran a merchandise store. They came over to the US in 1991 but soon after in 1994 his wife passed away. Soon after he began to help at a Vietnamese temple. He loved to travel and visit every temple when he could. He died on September 29, 2017 at 1:30 am in Evergreen Hospital. He is survived by 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and even 2 great grandchildren.
