Richard, affectionately known as "Richie", was a New Jersey native: born in Newark, raised in Kearny and lived most of his adult life in Parsippany. He spent his final years in Bellevue, Washington to be closer to his children. He graduated from Kearny High School, where he was in the Civil Air Patrol and on the football team. He joined the US Air Force during Viet Nam and was a Radar Technician. He worked for IBM for over 25 years, and Verizon for over 10 years. He met and married Anne Hronowski and raised three children: Kimberly Fee, Michael Dixon, and Christopher Dixon. He leaves behind two sisters, Myra Dixon Breiten and Georgiann Dixon Eccleston as well as thirteen grandchildren: Kaylie Fee, Corin Fee, Caden Fee, Kaija Fee, Cyler Fee, Christian Fee, Cameron Fee, Jasmine Dixon, Brittany Dixon, Jesse Dixon, William Dixon, Sapphire Dixon, and Garrett Muzacz.
Richard was a funny story-teller and loved World War 2 Military Trivia, technology and computers.
