Ralph and I told each other our life stories. Mine were of a generation younger. We shared the worst jokes, the best dinners. He told me many tales of his life, of his family. He gave me many bottles of fine whisky and other libations. He always saved as much as possible so his daughter would not need to worry about money. That was the man he was. He did that all his life for people. I have no tears knowing how fulfilled I was in the things we shared and the peaceful way I know he went. as all his life he adventured laughed smiled, etc. lived it. With him I did the same. We said everything to each other maybe two times. I will think of him now, especially on his birthday as there will be no need to find the nastiest birthday cards anymore. That I will miss. Glad you went peacefully, you deserved to. Love you forever. Glad to take over the bad jokes where my dad left off. If we do meet up again I have a good one for you. "There once was a man from Nantucket" 

RALPH WAS A WONDERFUL MAN AND WILL BE MISSED BY MANY, I SPENT A LOT  OF HOURS WITH RALPH AND HE TOLD ME MANY GOOD STORIES OF EASTSIDE HISTORY  AND MANY STORIES OF HIS WORK,HE SHARED COFFEE HOUR WITH HIS FRIENDS ON A REGULAR BASIS.I REMEMBER ONE YEAR WHEN HIS HEATER WAS OUT  AND IT WAS FREEZING OUTSIDE AND HE STAYED AT MY HOUSE FOR OVER A WEEK WE HAD MANY GOOD TALKS AND HE SHARED WITH ME THE LOVE HE HAD FOR HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER.I WILL MISS THE MANY DAILY PHONE CALLS FROM MY FRIEND.
