Phyllis loved her family most of all. She also relished socializing, entertaining (she was a great cook), and meeting new people. She served as a Girl Scout leader for many years, was active in PTA, T.O.P.S, Puget Pullers trailer group, and several bridge groups.
Over the years Phyllis and Ed were members of Gethsemane and Cross of Christ Lutheran Churches and made many dear friends in both places.
Phyllis delighted in being with her family anytime and anywhere, especially at the family vacation cabin, “The Barn”, on Hood Canal.
Phyllis was predeceased by her eldest daughter, Linda Tate. She is survived by her husband, Edward of Bellevue; sister, Irene Holsclaw of Malvern PA; daughters and sons-in-law Cheryl & Erik Peterson of Woodinville, Barbara Hahn & Mike Snow of Bellingham and Phil Tate of Friday Harbor; her beloved granddaughters Karen (Colin) Preston, Woodinville, Lisa Peterson (Chris Maiwald), Chemnitz, Germany, Julie Tate, Livingston, Montana, and Rebecca Lilliquist, Seattle. Phyllis was delighted to have known and loved her great-grandsons, Luke& Jack Preston, and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Peterson.
The family thanks the caregivers that lovingly cared for Phyllis in the last few years, Sumi, Nildy, Cathy, and Hilda.
We will celebrate her well-lived life when we can all be together again.
