Born in Missoula, Montana on St. Patrick's Day 1932, the daughter of Martha and Joseph Montreuil, she was a child of the Great Depression. Pat met the love of her life, Don Lovell in high school and they were married when they were 19 and 18 years old in 1951. Don and Pat set off to Flint, Michigan in their 1938 Buick as newlyweds for Don's General Motors Engineering Scholarship and Pat typed all of Don's technical reports. They moved to Bellevue, Washington in 1956 for Don's job at Boeing.
Pat's Christian faith was an essential part of her life as guided by her mother and father. Pat and Don enjoyed being long time members of Overlake Christian church and spending time with their fellowship group.
Pat was a dedicated stay at home mother who was always there for her children and made delicious home cooked meals every day. Pat was known for her award-winning potato salad that she brought to potlucks at the lake with her family. Her role of Grandma quickly became her life's focus; she and Don were at as many of their nine grandkids' athletic events, ballet recitals and school functions that they could possibly attend! Her grandkids remember her delicious homemade chocolate sauce that she'd serve on ice cream and the countless card and board games that she played with them.
Pat and Don traveled on many world trips to Europe, Holy Land, Central America, Alaska, Turkey, Egypt and Russia. They spent most early summers with their extended families in western Montana.
Pat is survived by her husband Don Lovell, four children Diana Piermattei (Pat), Donald Lovell II (Renee), Pamela Biggs (Michael), David Lovell (Anna), nine grandchildren Ben (Achsa), Jill (Kevin), Neil (Alison), Don III, Billy, Jessica (Cyle), Sarah (Brandon), David (Andrea), Elice and six great-grandchildren Natalie, Colin, Cayson, Cash, Amelia and one baby on the way.
