Norma passed away in Kirkland, WA. Born in Portland, OR, to Amelia (Schultz) and LeRoy Max Schmidt, she attended Franklin High School and worked for the Navy in 1950. Norma married Robert Waldemar Anderson in Portland on March 31, 1951 and relocated to Rager USFS Ranger Station near Paulina, then back to Portland for the birth of their son, Roger. The family moved to Quinault, then Quilcene, and settled in Snoqualmie in 1965. Norma loved movie stars and music from the 1940s, crossword puzzles, and caring for her disabled daughter Shereen. She designed their home in Snoqualmie, and maintained the terraced landscaping that her husband created.
Norma is survived by her son Roger (Lisa), daughters Jenelle, Dolly (Jay) Emerson, and Shereen, grandchildren Garrett (Irene) Billings, Sabrina Billings (Aaron) Jasperson, Nathaniel (Jiyun) Anderson, Gavin (Gail) Anderson, and 3 great-grandchildren.
