Mary Schmidt Muir, age 83, born in Memphis, TN 11/10/1931 passed away 6/24/2014. She moved to Bellevue, WA in 1979 where she was active in church work as a member Lake Hills Baptist Church of Bellevue and Christian Women’s Club. In early years served as BSA Den Mother and GSA troop leader. She served as spiritual mentor to many young ladies guiding them through life’s troubled waters. A son James Jr. preceded her in death. Mary leaves a brother Carl Schmidt of Southhaven, MS, her husband of 63 years, James, daughters Helen Mason of Escondido, CA and Diane Muir of Aberdeen, WA, daughter-in-law Sally Muir of Vancouver, WA, two grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Mary was loved by all that knew her and will be deeply missed by all. Arrangements under the direction of Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue, WA.
