Jordan was born on June 25, 1988, in Spokane, Washington. Five days later, his adoptive parents brought him home to Bellevue, where he spent his childhood and adolescence. He was adored by his older sister. He attended Issaquah schools and graduated from Issaquah High School in 2006. Jordan played high school soccer for four years, was co-captain of the Varsity Soccer team, and played on a select soccer team as well as his rec team. He earned a varsity letter in swimming, played football in his freshman year, and sang in the Vocal Jazz Choir and Men’s Vocal Group.
Jordan attended Arizona State University for two years and then transferred to Central Washington University where he graduated in Communication Studies in 2011.
Following college, Jordan trained in speed skating at the Olympic Oval in Kearns, Utah. When he returned to Ellensburg, he picked up his love of cycling and competed in road bicycle racing in regional and national races, becoming licensed as a USA Cycling Member, Category 2. He worked for several years in the Recycle Shop in Ellensburg helping others with cycling equipment.
Jordan met his future wife Kelsey at CWU. He proposed on Kauai Christmas eve, 2014, and they married at Swans Trail Farms on July 16, 2016. They have a four-year-old son and a two-year-old daughter.
In 2014, Jordan and Kelsey moved to Seattle from Ellensburg. Jordan completed his training as an emergency medical technician at North Seattle College and worked as an EMT for Tri-Med Ambulance. He attended the Vashon Island Fire Academy in 2017 and worked as a volunteer firefighter for Vashon Island Fire and Rescue, where his peers selected him for the 2017 Fire Academy Leadership Award.
Jordan was hired by the Bellevue Police Department in March of 2018. In 2019, the family moved to the Issaquah Highlands, and then a year later to their current home in Upper Kittitas County, Washington. Jordan transferred to the Motors (motorcycle) Unit in May of 2020. He was named officer for the third quarter in November 2022, and had just been selected to be a field training officer before his death.
Jordan was an avid fisherman, hiker, backpacker, surfer, snowboarder, dirt bike rider and indoor plant enthusiast. He was known by his friends and co-workers as kind, generous, brave, hard-working, adventurous, and committed to his job and serving the public. Above all, Jordan cherished his wife and children and devoted himself to providing the best family experiences he could through adventures, trips, and family gatherings.
