Janice Marie Clemans, age 75 of Bellevue, went to heaven on January 3, 2013, after her courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 3, 1937 in Tillamook, Oregon; Janice was the only daughter of John and Marie (Glad) Moon. Janice was a graduate of Coos River High School near Coos Bay, Oregon. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Evergreen State University and worked as a Chemical Dependency Professional in Seattle. Janice is survived by her husband of 54 years; Charles, 3 daughters; Kathryn Sawrey, Leora Clemans, Marilynn Montenegro and 6 grandchildren; Aiyana Homer, Benjamin Sawrey, Rachel Homer, Charlie Clemans, Jacob Homer and Carlos Montenegro. Janice devoted her life to her family as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Janice was an active member of Newport Covenant Church for 45 years and was also a member of the Garden Club and the Vasa Lodge of Upper Preston where she was a part of the Skogsblomman Women’s Order. Janice will be greatly missed. A visitation will be held in the chapel at Sunset Hills Funeral Home, Bellevue on Monday, January 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services at Sunset Hills Funeral Home will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with a graveside ceremony at 2:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue, WA.
