Jim, or ‘Jimmy’ as he was known by most of his friends, was the sole surviving triplet born to Lee Roy and Virginia Walker in 1950 in Okanogan County. Jimmy peacefully passed away on August 17, 2020 in Seattle, WA after a fierce battle with liver cancer. Jimmy was surrounded with love during his final days. He fought bravely and strived hard to get back out on the golf course with his buddies and to also be with his family. But the Lord God had other plans. He is now resting peacefully in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jimmy grew up in Okanogan and graduated Okanogan High School in 1968. Jimmy lived a very full life and was a skilled salesperson who made everyone feel at ease. He was always cracking jokes and lighting up a room and created a roar of laughter that gave him great pleasure. Jimmy owned and managed several car dealerships in his career and was very successful. His brilliant mind, quick wit, and deal-making expertise was the foundation of his success. He also inspired so many others in his career.
Jimmy married Deborah Russell in 1975 and they had four children - Timothy, Brian, Jessica, and Stacey. Jimmy and Debbie lived in San Diego for several years before moving back to the Pacific NW. They settled in Redmond, later moving to Woodinville and then Edmonds. Jimmy took a position in Whitefish, Montana and they lived there for several years. Once back in the Seattle area they lived in Edgewood, WA. When Jimmy fully retired, he moved back to Okanogan and spent a lot of time with his friends. Jimmy’s greatest passion was golfing, and he was fortunate to have traveled the world to play golf.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Debbie Walker and four children: Timothy Walker, age 42, Federal Way, WA, Brian Walker, age 39, Renton, WA, Jessica Walker Johnston, age 37 Gig Harbor, WA, and Stacey Walker, age 34, Dutch Harbor, Alaska, and two granddaughters Olivia, 12 and Sophie, 3 and one grandson Maxwell, 4. Jimmy is also survived by his sister, Genevieve ‘Genni’ Walker Reilly of Bellevue, WA. Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Victoria Walker, his father, Lee Roy Walker, his triplet brother Jody Roy Walker and his other triplet brother Jeffrey Lund Walker. May they all rest in peace.
A Celebration of Life is planned for August 2021 in Okanogan where his many friends can gather to celebrate his life. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, WA along with his mother, father, and brother Jody. His urn is engraved with the following “Forever remembered as an extremely good-looking husband, father, brother, son, grandpa, and friend. You are loved.” That is the truth!
