It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved mother Jacqueline Ann (Harris) Curran. Jacque made her transition peacefully on Wednesday June 19th, 2024, surrounded by family, love and music.
Jacque was passionate about music and the arts, but she loved connecting people even more. Her theater outings were always a hit, especially the time she gathered 100 people to see the Seattle premier of Hamilton. Jacque was always happy to jump in the car at a moment's notice to chase a rainbow or to show a visitor the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She was the "cool mom" and her house was always full of friends, laughter and great food.
After graduating from Mercer Island High School in 1964 and attending the University of Washington, Jacque had many amazing adventures in her life. A few highlights include creating rock ‘n roll light shows in the 60's, traveling the world while working for Eastern Airlines and being one of the first female sales associates for one of the first woman-owned auto dealerships in Washington. Jacque was a marvel, and she never lost her spirit or creativity, always diving into one interest after another and deeply engaged in the passions of her children and grandchildren.
Jacque is survived by her two daughters, Celia and Maryl, as well as her two granddaughters, Elinor and Carina.
A celebration of life will be held in July. Jacque's family is asking individuals to donate blood in her memory as it sustained her during her very short battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Financial donations in her honor can be made to the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
