Ross was born May 2nd, 1929 in Decatur Co. Lineville, Iowa. He attended country schools until graduating from high school in 1948. After graduation he worked for the Decatur Co. on survey work and Maytag until 1950. The call for service took him to the Korean front for two years, from 1950-1952. Ross returned to Manhattan, Kansas where he met and married the love of his life Bonnie Ryan on June 22, 1952. After he was out of the service we moved to Des Moines, Iowa, until deciding to leave for parts unknown. We flipped a coin and ended up in Richland, Washington in 1953. He worked at Hanford Atomic Plant for 10 years, then on dams until 1965 when we moved to Bellevue for Greg and Debi to start school. He worked on the King Dome until it was completed and then blew it up. He then worked for several construction companies and travelling to Oregon, Idaho, etc. until retiring in 1991 and travelling around in our motor home from here to Iowa, to Arizona, and back, until having a stroke in 2012 where he became unable to travel anymore. He will be very missed.
