Duane V. Hurst

Duane V. (D.V.) Hurst passed away on December 28, 2016. Born in Annandale, MN on 10/31/23 he attended college at North Central College in Minnesota where he met his wife, Aggie. After a brief stint teaching college at his alma mater, he moved the family to Springfield, MO where he was employed by the Assemblies of God Headquarters. In 1966, he relocated the family to Kirkland, WA as he had accepted the position of President, Northwest College where he remained for 25 years. He was active in civic affairs, serving on the Kirkland City Council and as Mayor.

D.V. Hurst is survived by son Rick (LeAnn), son-in-law Darrell Hobson, 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aggie and daughter, Gigi.

Viewing will be at Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Bellevue from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on January 12th followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on January 14th at Butterfield Chapel at Northwest University.
