Doris Elaine Larson

Doris Elaine (Shillam) Larson (affectionately known as “Granny”), 79, of Issaquah, Washington (formerly of San Diego, California), passed away suddenly on March 16th, 2010. She was born in Pasco, Washington on August 12, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Marian Shillam. She attended Rosalia High School and, years later, graduated with an Associates of Arts Degree from Mesa Junior College, San Diego. She brought spark and enthusiasm to life; cared deeply for her family; and sacrificed for their futures. She worked in a variety of businesses over the years, finally retiring as Manager of Food Services for Cedar Community Centers of San Diego after many years of dedicated service. Doris is survived by her two children, Fabienne (Shillam) Uran and her husband, Gary of Bellevue, Washington, and Paul L. Shillam and his wife, Violette, of Issaquah, Washington; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul E. and H. Lloyd Shillam; and many nieces and nephews. Doris is loved by many and will be missed by all. At her request, she will be interred at the Colville Cemetery near her parents and other family members.
