Diane was born on July 9, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to John A. Schwendeman and Gladys M. Nelson.
Diane is survived by her husband Michael, sons Ralph and David, granddaughters Cate and Lilah, brother David Schwendeman and sister Donna Schwendeman.
Diane was raised in Rainier Valley and graduated from Franklin High School in 1961. She and Mike married on May 1st, 1965 and moved to Bellevue in 1974. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed playing bridge and word games with family and friends. She loved to spend her time at the family's beach home on Birch Bay, and she cherished time spent with her granddaughters. She will be remembered fondly by friends and family.
At Diane's request there will be no services. The family is planning a Celebration of Life to take place in May.
Rather than flowers the family suggests donations be made to your favorite charity.
