A 1959 graduate of Cleveland High School, Brenda's joy for service took her to Minneapolis and Northwest Airlines. In 1965 she started a family in Bismarck, North Dakota, and dedicated herself to public service. A key figure in the campaign of ND governor Al Olson, Brenda was admired for her integrity and tireless advocacy of community.
Brenda's ever-present smile and famously positive attitude influenced everyone she touched. In 1987 Brenda returned to her Seattle roots, applying her continuing love of service in baking at Brenner Brothers Bakery.
She is survived by her beloved highschool sweetheart Ron Englund; her children, Ginger Van Bogart, Kimberly (Charles) Sanders, Dina (Bruce) Nolan, and Mark (Annalisa) Shark; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and a huge extended family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Itsey and Katherine Brenner; her sister, Julia Morris; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
