Beverly Jeanne Miller passed away on August 12, 2024, at her home in Kenmore, Washingon, after battling cancer. She was surrounded by love and family. Bev was born on January 23, 1936, in Portland, Oregon to Betty and Joseph Bruchner. Her parents divorced when she was quite young, and her mother married Jesse James in 1939. She had many fond memories from her childhood in the Portland and the Cannon Beach area. Bev attended several different schools as her parents moved around quite a bit. She graduated Roosevelt High School in Seattle in 1953 and went on to attend Washington State University. Bev married Bill Parish, and they had three children: Norman (Joan), Gregory (Michelle) and Kristen (Gregory). They were married for 23 years. Beverly married Pi Miller in 1981, and the blended family included four more children: Julene, J Dan (Lori), David (Kristin) and Jo Ellen.
Bev enjoyed playing golf, and she loved music and spending time with family and friends. Bev and Pi also enjoyed many winters in Palm Desert, CA. She found great joy in her many grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, sister and aunt. She will be deeply missed.
Rosary service will be held at 6p on Friday, September 6th, at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Bellevue, WA.
Funeral service will be held at 11a on Saturday, September 7th, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Kirkland, WA, followed by a Celebration of Life at Inglewood Golf Club in Kenmore, WA, at 1p.
Bev was preceded in death by her husband Pi Miller and her brother Barry James.
She is survived by her sisters Kathi Wallace (Steve), Cyndey Stubblefield (Tony), and by her sister-in-law Treva James. She is also survived by her children, step children, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seattle Children’s Hospital.
