He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Clara (Price) Dill, infant child, Craig, his brother, James Dill, father and mother-in-law, William and Valeria (Williams) Petterson, and sister-in-law, Margie Petterson.
William is survived by his wife of 60 years, Karen (Petterson) Dill, daughter, Barbara (Roy) Wuelling, son, William (Marla) Dill, daughter, Brenda (Terry) Phelps, son, Brian (Andrea) Dill, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews.
William was a retired union carpenter. He was a member of Local 480 of Freeburg for 48 years. He was most proud of his family and attending their sporting events. He loved his garden, the outdoors, playing poker, and Cardinals baseball.
Memorial Gathering will be Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hope Christian Church, Columbia, Illinois.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Hope Christian Church, Columbia, Illinois.
Interment will be private at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
