Wanda was a nursing aide for over 30 years at St. Anthony’s Hospital. Wanda loved the color blue. She enjoyed gardening, reading and quilting, but above all else, she treasured spending time with her family and was an incredibly proud grandma. She was a faithful woman who placed her trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Villa Hills Gospel Chapel in Belleville, Illinois. Wanda’s sweet, loving nature will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Relna and Katy (nee Woolverton) Hall; one daughter, Debbie Wodicker (Ed), spouses, Wayne Renth and Chester “Chet” Sanders; sister, Juanita Parks and son-in-law, Timothy Herman.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Katy Herman, Brian (Malyn) Sanders and Elizabeth (John) Roland; step-children, Sunae (Jeff) Holtgrewe, Scott (Risé) Renth, Aaron (Marilyn) Renth and Neal (Joan) Renth; grandchildren, Benjamin (Annette), Mike (Erin), Nickolas (Emily), Laura (Daniel), Bethany (Nathan) and Carl (Chelsie); step-grandchildren, Rebecca (Cory), Matthew (Dena), Emily (Jonathan), Abigail (Steven), Jason (Veronika), Michael (Jessica), Benjamin (Tiffany), Caleb (Shannon), Travis (Jocelyn), Lacy (Tim), Heather, Christopher (Briana), Chelsea, Cameron (Becky) and Carolyn; 24 great-grandchildren, plus a host of friends and extended family.
Friends may visit from 9 AM to 10 AM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois.
Services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at the funeral home with inurnment to follow at Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, Illinois.
