Stanley Leo Thien

Stanley was a retired security guard. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Stanley was preceded in death by his wife Donna, nee Battreal Thien; parents, Ferdinand and Cecelia, nee Bergmann Thien; sister, Darlene Crawford and a uncle, Larry Bergmann.

Surviving are his brother in law, Michael Crawford; aunts and uncles, Mary – Ann Gehrs, Lucille (Robert) Rickhoff, and Sal Bergmann, also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends all who he loved very much.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2014 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home. A Knights of Columbus Chalice Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday evening.

Service: Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2014 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Shiloh, Illinois
