Sandra K. Schaab

Sandra K. Schaab (nee Taylor), 80, of Belleville, IL passed away on Monday, November 20, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Shirley Taylor and her husband, Richard Schaab. Sandra is survived by her brother, Kent (Beverly) Taylor, special friends, Toni Walston, Sandy Hoernis, and Janice Radisic; brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Sandra had a long distinguished career working for Westinghouse, which later became Cutler-Hammer from which she retired. She was always very active and had a dynamic social life. She enjoyed spending time with the Junior Wednesday Club and attending shows as a season ticket holder at the Fox Theatre. She also loved to go shopping and was always dressed to the nines. Sandra and Richard were League Bowlers at St. Clair and Bel-Air Bowl. Sandra continued to bowl after Richard’s passing twice a week. Her energy and spunk will be missed by her family and many friends.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
