Marla was a quick-witted and funny woman who filled any room with laughter. She could carry a conversation with anyone and always found joy in the little things. She was truly one-of-a-kind.
Marla was an avid bead necklace collector who loved all things Elvis and Snoopy. She enjoyed cheering on the New Orleans Saints, watching wrestling, and spending afternoons at the casino. Her favorite vacations were her trips to Hawaii, where she always planned to return from the very moment she left. Marla loved strolling the aisles at Hallmark with her friends and never turned away an offer for a hot coffee or ice cream sandwich.
One of Marla’s greatest qualities was her loyalty to and deep love for family. She adored her role as eldest sister to Barry (Diana) Eikmann, Bryan (Laura) Eikmann, Stacy (Jay Campbell) Breckenridge, and Bruce (Stacy) Eikmann, who, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends, will cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anna (Samuel) Bradshaw and Warren (Janet) Eikmann.
Due to current Covid-19 protocol, services will be held privately with Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Illinois. Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory. Condolences may be expressed online at www.valhallagardensandfuneralhome.com.
