Mark E. Olson

Mark Edward Olson, 56, born February 26, 1960 in Rockford, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Veterans Administration Hospital at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri with family by his side.

Mark retired as an Aircraft Technician with Boeing, He was a life member of the VFW, Highland, Illinois. He loved golfing, walking the Beach, and most importantly, spending time with his family. Mark served in the United States Navy from 1979-1984 receiving the Navy Expeditionary Medal, The Humanitarian Service Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with a Bronze Star.

Mark is preceded in death by his father Maurice E. Olson.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela Olson, nee Gump; his children, Chad (Dawn Ledbetter) Beintker, Emily (Phillip) Link and Nikki (TJ) O’Conner; grandchildren, Aiden Beintker, Aubrey Link, Kaeden O’Conner, Camden O’Conner, and Saylor O’Conner; his mother, Melba (Gene Westbrook) Olson; a twin brother, Michael (Melinda) Olson, Gary Olson, and Greg (Mercy) Olson. Also, survived by many other relatives, family, and friends.
