LaVerne Catherine Klem

LaVerne married Robert Henry Klem on January 31st, 1954 and together had 5 children, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

LaVerne dedicated 30 years of her life to federal service at Scott Air Force Base working as the lead Accounting Technician while raising her children and playing an outsized role in the lives of her grand and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her selfless service of others, LaVerne will be forever remembered for an infectious smile, a love of music, dancing, travel and her adventurous spirit.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Klem, parents, James R. and Henrietta Logan, her brother, James Logan, and sister, Iona Lybarger. She is survived by daughters, Judith Ann (Brad) Auer, Louise Ann Klem, Carole Ann (Steve) Casperson, and sons, Robert Edward (Denise) Klem and Jeffrey Alan (Megan) Klem.

In lieu of funeral services, LaVerne’s ashes will be spread in a peaceful location on her son’s farm in south central Missouri.
