Kenneth met the love of his life, Pam, in 1981 and a few months later they got married in Belleville on September 25, 1981. They spent 40 wonderful years together and had two children, Kenny and Kaitlin. Kenneth was a very active man; he loved bowling, hiking, plus playing softball and horseshoes. He proudly served his county in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years as a Master Sergeant firefighter. Pam accompanied Kenneth while he was stationed in Germany for 4 years, as well as Cape Cod. After he retired from the military he worked as a cross country truck driver. He was an incredibly kind and funny man, a loving husband, father and grandfather and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Frances Daniels, and nephew Bruce Lane.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Pamela “Pam” (nee Wehring) Daniels; his children, Kenneth “Kenny” Daniels II, Kaitlin (Kory) Daniels-Hency; grandchildren Taylor, Makayla, Jackson, Abbigail “Gail” and Addison Daniels, Lily and Landon Hency; siblings, Harry Daniels and Anita (Joe) Allwood; nieces Erin, Gretchen, Beth, Casey, and Penny; nephew Jerry; former daughter-in-law Maggie Daniels; plus numerous great-nieces/nephews.
Visitation will occur at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, IL from 11 AM to 12:15 PM on Thursday, October 28, 2021; a celebration of life will commence at 12:15 PM, followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO at 2 PM.
