John is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ann (Burg) Strebel, brothers, Richard Strebel Sr. and William Strebel.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Judith (McCulley) Strebel, children, Steve (Clare), Joy (Fred), Paula (Steve), Mike (Laura), five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
During his lifetime John served his country valiantly in the United States Army. After his discharge, he worked for NCR as a Computer Technician, last working as Zone Manager in East St. Louis.
A Memorial Gathering will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at Shiloh Church, 210 S. Main St., Shiloh, Illinois with Memorial Service starting at 11:30 a.m. at the church.
Memorials in John’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
