George proudly serviced his country as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the St. Louis Carpenter’s Union Local 1310. He was a parishioner at St. Henry Catholic Church in Belleville, Illinois. He enjoyed baseball, bowling and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George J. and Emma M., nee Jones, Kreher, Sr.
Surviving are his sister, Mary Schmierbach; his niece, Joan Plank; his nephew, John Schmierbach; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
