Sorry to to just hear about Gary passing.  Back in the 70's, I use to play organ for the Gary Hall Group.  He was a very good drummer.  We had a lot of fun together.  Played music all over the place.  For some unknown reason, I started thinking about Gary, and started looking up to see what had happened to him.  Does anyone know if his wife is still living.  I don't know anything about anything.   Again, he was a very good music player.

Susan, Gary was a great humaritarian and always a good friend to Chuck and I.  He and Chuck (who also left this world this year on Feb 13) can now gather all the children in heaven and teach them baseball.  My condolences to you.  I truly know where you are right now. I will miss Gary as he was always a friend since high school and touched so many people.  My sincere condolences to you and your families.  God be with all of you.

Couldn't have been a month the wife reminded me, "Your short cut to New Years with Gary in Fort Wood got us there for the last set". I'll never live it down or forget Gary and his mom who mentored me in RE.  Lots of good time to remember and friends we hold in our hearts. Yah, you to Sticks.

Gary had a great influence on me becoming a real estate appraiser. As a student in one of his classes, I remember thinking, here is a guy who loves what he is doing. He was a leader in his profession, and his positive influence will continue far into the future. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My deepest sympathy to his family.

Gary was a big influence in both of our careers as real estate appraisers.  His passion for excellence was truly inspirational.  He was an incredible teacher, mentor, and friend.  He will always be in our memories and his family in our prayers.

To Chris and family,  I am sorry to hear about your Dad.  We all had a great time at Khoury Park and I also enjoyed his band, sure he will be missed.

  Gary was our Real Estate Appraisal Instructor, Mentor, Colleague & Friend. His work at Southwestern Illinois College & National Association of Independent Fee appraisers spawned a generation of appraisers.  He was always trying to help students. I know Chris continues that tradition at McKendree University. Most of the appraisers in the area have Gary to thank for their success,certainly we do. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

I had a return gig for you at the Butterfly in Des Moines, where you drew "standing room only" crowds the last time you played there. They will be very disappointed.

Tell "Pete" at those Golden Gates that you always paid me on time and never gave me a rubber check, that should get you in (just don't tell him you have seen me).

My heart is weeping as I try to "keep it light" like you would expect me to do.

Take heart my dear friend we shall all see you one day (except for Johnny Z who will need a flame extinguisher and a fire retardant suit).

I am a singer who sang with the Gary Hall show in 1974 and 1975.  I had the honor of working with Gary who was a very good person!!!!  My condolences to his son, wife and family.  His passing has saddened me greatly.

I will always cherish the last six month I spent with Gary over the phone. He was so brave and wonderful. Always trying to keep my hopes up. I know everyone was waiting for you.

My brother played baseball for Gary at West End Khoury League for several years.  As kids we would go out of town for baseball tournaments with the Hall family.  We always had a great time.  I will always remember how much fun Gary was to be around.  Always laughing and having a good time.  He will be greatly missed.

I met Gary in Ft. Walton Beach, FL many years ago. My sister Mickey and I were playing in a rock band and The Gary Hall Show played opposite our band on the show stage. I took Stix Maxwell's place on drums and moved to Belleville to join Gary's group and what a group that was. Gary was a true showman, always driving the group to be the best musicians possible and to put on a great show. Susan, Carolyn and Chris - you are in my prayers. May God give you strength in your time of sorrow. Rest in peace dear friend and know that you will be missed but never forgotten.

I barely knew, Gary, but remember when Gary's band was enjoying popularity entertaining in the ST Louis area during the same period as the Rumor's, the band I was the drummer for. My sincere condolences to the family and surviving extended family members and friends.

I'm sure Gary is forming a band in the hereafter as I write this.  I had the pleasure of playing in Gary's band from 1968 through 1973.  Thanks, Gary, for the lifetime of road stories and a million good times.  Condolences to all of Gary's family and friends

Dear Family of Gary Hall,
I remember him well.  I worked at the Panorama Bowling Alley and Lounge in the late 60's and The Gary Hall Group was a regular there.  Later they played from time to time at the downstairs dances.  I think I remember just a few years ago they played at the Mascoutah homecoming and that was the last time I heard them. May the trumpets sound in the heavens.

I'm so sad to know of Gary's passing, and offer my heartfelt condolences to his wife and family.  Gary's mother, Cesta, and my mother, Martha, were very good friends, and eventually Gary and I became friends as well.  He was helpful and generous, smart, and oh so talented.  I'll always remember his kindness.  May the Lord hold him safe now, and grant his dear wife and family divine comfort and healing.
