Eileen W. Zweig

Eileen W. Zweig, 90, born April 8, 1923 in E. Carondolet, IL passed away on December 5, 2013 at St. Paul’s Home in Belleville, IL. Eileen was a bookkeeper for Midwest Petroleum retiring after more than 50 years of service. Eileen was an independent lady who loved to shop, travel and had a quick wit. Eileen’s extensive travels included much of Europe and 48 of 50 United States. She was like a mother and grandmother to her nieces, nephews, and their children. Her spunky demeanor will be missed by her family.

Ms. Zweig was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beulah (nee Pugh) Zweig; a sister, Hazel (Francis) Hopkins; and a great nephew, Theron Moyer.

She is survived by her niece, Linda (Kenny) Moyer of Fairview Heights, IL and Bill (Patricia) Hopkins of Belleville, IL; and great nieces and nephews, Jason Moyer, Alletha Moyer, Brendon Hopkins, and Katie Hopkins Hummel.
