Edward was a retired Coal Miner, He was a member of the Masonic Gothic Lodge 852, Fairview Heights, Illinois, the United Mine Workers, St. Matthew Methodist Church, the Arnold Gun Club and Town Hall Archery Range.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Alice, nee Kelly, Joyner and two brothers, Cecil Wesp and William Joyner.
Surviving are his loving and devoted wife, Linda Marie, nee Notz, Joyner; son, Jeffrey E. (Jennifer) Joyner; granddaughters, Lauren Joyner and Morgan Joyner; father in law, Robert Notz and his wife Mary. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
