Charles Melvin Ruff

Chuck graduated from Calhoun High School in 1956. Later in life, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree from S.I.U.E. Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and also worked for McDonnell Douglas. He married the love of his life, Lore Dina, on October 29, 1960 and they spent nearly 59 wonderful years together before she passed away in 2019. Chuck was a proud member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Deutcher Mannerchor, Liederkranz and The American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, singing and knitting.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Lore Dina, step-son Norbert Huffman, brothers Manuel and James, and sisters Irene, Susie, Cloria, Virginia and Hettie Grace.

He is survived by his step-son Ron (Carole) Huffman, daughter-in-law Julie Huffman, brother Marion Ruff, plus numerous nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials made out to Jerusalem Lutheran Church, located at 305 Collinsville Ave, Collinsville, IL 62234.

A private service, officiated by Pastor Nicely, will take place at Valhalla Gardens of Memory.
